Importer-Exporter Code (IEC) is a major business identification number that is mandatory for export or import. The IEC number is provided by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), Ministry of Commerce. No export or import shall be made by any person without obtaining IEC unless specifically exempted
