Overview
What is DGFT DSC?
A DGFT DSC is an organisation Class 3 Digital Signature Certificate used to digitally sign and authenticate filings on the DGFT portal — modifying your IEC, applying for Advance Authorisation or EPCG, RCMC actions and other foreign-trade licences. It's mapped to your organisation and IEC so DGFT recognises the signatory.
Like any DSC, it's issued by a licensed Certifying Authority after KYC, on a secure USB token, and valid for one to three years. The key difference is that it's an organisation certificate, tied to your business and IEC for DGFT use.
We issue a DGFT-compatible organisation DSC through a licensed Certifying Authority, complete the KYC, and map it to your IEC on the DGFT portal.

How the Licensed Certifying Authority + DGFT portal flow works
The organisation Class 3 DSC is issued by a licensed Certifying Authority after KYC and is then registered/mapped against your IEC on the DGFT portal so it can sign DGFT filings.
We facilitate issuance through a licensed Certifying Authority and map it on the official DGFT portal. We never claim to be the issuing authority or a private API — the certificate is issued by the licensed CA.

FAQs
DGFT DSC — frequently asked questions
What is a DGFT DSC?
An organisation Class 3 Digital Signature Certificate mapped to your IEC, used to sign and authenticate filings on the DGFT portal — IEC changes, Advance Authorisation, EPCG and more.
How is it different from a normal DSC?
It's an organisation certificate tied to your business and IEC for DGFT use, rather than a general individual DSC. We issue and map the right one.
Who issues it?
A licensed Certifying Authority, after KYC, on a secure USB token. We facilitate issuance and then map it on DGFT.
Do I need it to modify my IEC?
Many DGFT actions, including IEC modifications and scheme applications, require an organisation DSC to authenticate. We set it up.
How long is it valid?
Typically one to three years, after which it's renewed. We remind you before expiry.
Can I use my existing DSC for DGFT?
Only if it's an organisation Class 3 DSC and mapped to your IEC. If not, we issue/map a DGFT-compatible one.
Does it work for ICEGATE too?
An organisation Class 3 DSC generally supports both DGFT and ICEGATE; we map it where needed for your trade filings.
